For one in two of us, cancer will change everything. When it does, so can we. Our services, advice, therapies and support are for you and the people close to you, helping everyone to live with and beyond cancer. The funds we raise also support vital, pioneering research and clinical trials.

Story

Welcome to the JustGiving page for Doncaster Cycle Trust. We are a group of novice cyclists with the sole aim of raising money for Weston Park Cancer Hospital in Sheffield and we also intend to have a great adventure with lots of laughs along the way!

With this in mind we are intending to cycle from London to Paris at the end of June this year. We've got the bikes and the enthusiasm - so all we need now is lots of sponsorship from lots of generous friends/family etc. Our route takes us from London to Dover - then we shall take the ferry to Calais. We shall then ride on through Abbeville and Beauvais and finally to Paris. The average age of those cycling is 50 (with a sprinkling of 21 year olds for good measure) and the amount of miles we have to cover is about 300 over a four day period!!! Nobody in the group has ever attempted anything like this before!!

The enthusiastic cyclists are as follows:

Ruth & Jonathan White, Dave & Sally Hall, Katherine Beaumont, Malc & Robert Baskerville, Billy, Dawn and William Robinson, Nicola
Charlesworth, Neil Metcalfe, Catriona Elliott-Winter, Paul Foster, Mike & Simon Honey.

Please feel free to help us raise our target of £10,000!

[Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
