Story

The rainy season in Gambia is fraught with all sorts of challenges due to the severe weather.

This year the rain has been extremely heavy, and sadly it has led to the collapse of our much needed donkey barn. The donkey barn is essential for the over night accomodation for the donkeys in our care - the barn was covered with mosquito netting, to prevent the biting insects from causing disease and discomfot to the donkeys. Without this protection the donkeys are at much higher risk of contracting deadly insect borne diseases, such as Trypanosomiasis and also the horrific neurological disease that we have been seeing.

Without suitable overnight housing the donkeys risk of disease becomes much, much higher.

We desperately need to rebuild the donkey barn as soon as possible, but we urgently need to raise the extra money to do so.
