Story
On Sunday 21st Otober I will be taking part in the 10 mile sponsored horse ride organised by Wimbledon Village Stables in aid of the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. The Royal Marsden provides world class care for cancer patients helping to care for and support them, and also their families throughout their illness.
I know a number of people who have been diagnosed with cancer over the last few years, one of whom is actually recieving ongoing treatmet at the Marsden, so I am keen to raise as mch money as possible for this fantastic cause.
The ride takes place across Wimbledon Common and Richmond Park, and we are encouraged to take part in fancy dress to raise as much money as possible! Last year I won the fancy dress prize dressed as an oompa loompa, and I plan to ride again in fancy dress this year although a costume is yet to be decided!
Thanks to the generous donations from family and friends last year I was able to raise £1000 which was a fantastic amount, and it would be brilliant it I could match this amount again! Any donations, big or small will be vey much appriciated as every little helps!
