Three Peaks Challenge · 7 May 2013

We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

On the 20th July I, along with my friends Fran and Emma, will be embarking on the three peaks challenge.  The idea being to ascend & descend three of the tallest peaks in England, Scotland & Wales - Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Mt. Snowdon.  We have only 24 hours to complete this challenge, including traveling between them (kindly helped by our trusted driver - Elise).

I am raising money for the NSPCC, particularly their "Letting the Future in" program, which helps children and young people overcome the effects of sexual abuse - something I am personally very passionate about.

The money raised from this challenge will go towards helping young survivors of sexual violence learn to express themselves through art, crafts and storytelling so that they can overcome their terrible trauma and look to a future they otherwise would not see.
