Story
On a recent walk Donovan was refusing to get out of his pushchair...we set him a mini challenge to win a prize (some sweets)...his response was "Am I running for the NHS". We said no but there is no reason why you can't.
We have no idea where he got this idea from, we suspect he must have heard things on TV or seen things on YouTube.
Donovan is a fighter, born at just 26 weeks he needed our amazing NHS from the minute he was born. Being born so early left him with life long disabilities. Alongside his complex learning needs he has mild celebral Palsy, Bilateral brain damage, is hearing impaired and wears aids and is registered blind such that he has very limited vision.
We could not be more proud of our amazing little boy. This Saturday (assuming he isn't one of those I'm not doing it today moods - to be completed asap if he is) Donovan will run around our street which is about 0.3k.
The aim is to have a little fun, raise a bit of money and play his part. He could not be more proud of the NHS, his highlight every week is the chance to applauded on a Thursday evening (and stay up at little later). It isn't a massive distance to run but we think it's an amazing gesture.
Please donate if you feel able to.
