Alzheimer Scotland is the leading, national dementia charity in Scotland. Our mission is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide advice, information and support and we are here for people living with dementia, their families and carers across Scotland.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. We normally do the Race for Life but decided to do help support something nearer to our hearts this year. My Dad Matt Ferguson was diagnosed with frontal lobe dementia at the young age of 68 years. He worked right up to his retirement which he and my Mum hoped they would enjoy by taking well deserved holidays. But it was not to be- my Dad is still aware of who we are and everything you say to him and whats going on but he cannot talk or do very much for himself now. It's not until you are faced with this as a family that you realise there are  many things you need along with support from professionals who deal with this terrible disease daily. We thought in return for the support we would try to raise some money for Alzheimers Scotland to enable other families to receive the support they need. We would be most grateful if you could sponsor us- every little helps!!

Thank you so much Doreen Briggs.
