Hi! My name is Doug and I received a kidney transplant in December 2008. I am 38 years old and have been ill since childhood when I suffered from a disease called Henoch Schonlein Purpura. The transplant has been an amazing success and has changed my life as well as those of my wife and two young children. To give something back and raise awareness of the NHS Organ Donor Register ( www.organdonation.nhs.uk ) I, along with seven friends, will be walking the Wolds Way beginning on 7th September 2009 to raise money for the National Kidney Federation. Please donate if you can! Thank You.
