Story

Hi! Glad I got through to you, and you'd like to support us!!

Since the 2009 Lands End to John O'Groats Challenge with Nick and Pete there always had to be another big Fundraising Event! This is it, and MacMillan Cancer Support was chosen for a number of reasons. First and foremost, I have become aware of so many people whom have had unimaginable help and support from MacMillan, in their hours of greatest need, and not just the individual, but their entire families.... in their hours of greatest need!! Also, the enthusiasm and positivity of MacMillan Supporters seen at dozens of locations along the London Marathon route was nothing short of absolutely staggering....

I thought, I'd like to support them too, and thus London to Venice was born! All I had to do was to find a friend with a sense of adventure akin to mine. Enter, Dave Micklewright! A work colleague of almost 20 years, Dave and I have run many miles together, and now the Alps to Venice!! 19 to 31 May, 2012. Thanks for your support Dave.... Maria wouldn't let me do it on my own!

Only 'Mad Doug and an Englishman' pedal out in the Midday Sun!

No, you don't have to be mad to do this, but it certainly does help. ;^)

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now. Thanks so much for your support.

Doug, and Dave.... (and Maria and Sue, without who's patience and forebearance this would never happen, Thanks Girls!!!)
