Story

The ride was completed successfully and life is back to normal-ish. It was a great time and I really enjoyed the challenge and seeing the country. Thank you all who have donated so generously - it's really fantastic. Go and have a look at Water for Kids' webpages (waterforkids.org.uk) for more information on the brilliant work they do. The trip is documented with some photos in a blog.

Our perseverance with training over the winter is paying off and we're now enjoying cycling without having first to put on 4 layers of clothing. Of course, we’ve not done as much training as we’d like, but I feel vaguely confident about the journey apart from one thing – the prospect of getting back on the saddle the second day!
