University of Glasgow Trust Support The Beatson Pebble Appeal, Think Pink Scotland, Paul O’Gorman Leukaemia Research Centre, Brain Tumour Research Fund, Medical & Dental Fund & Small Animal Hospital Fund. The University of Glasgow Trust administers donations on behalf of the University of Glasgow

Story

Last semester I took part in a lab placement working on Epstein-Barr virus and Hodgkin Lymphoma. Hodgkin Lymphoma is the most common leukaemia to affect young people in the UK but there are many other different types of leukaemia that affect people of all ages.

By taking my life in my hands and zip sliding over the Clyde I'm hoping to raise some money for the Paul O'Gorman Leukaemia research fund who support some of the amazing scientific work into leukaemia at Glasgow university.

I'm doing this because I believe that the more work done towards curing leukeamias and other cancers the better, and because I want to give something back to the university who's lecture theaters and labs I've thoroughly enjoyed being taught in these last 4 years.

So go on, spare a pound or five for a great cause and a boy dangling on a wire above the murky waters of the Clyde.
