We'd like to say thank you very much for deciding to donate a (wedding!) gift to War Child! This is a charity whose work we feel is of real importance and is very close to our hearts. We appreciate your help in supporting it.

 

War Child is a small charity by international standards so your donation will have a real impact.

Amongst other things, your donation will help the charity be able to continue:

 

-  the teaching of new skills to young people in order to provide an income for their families

- to support children in gaining an education

- to help to provide shelter to those children and young people who have nowhere to go as a result of unrest

- to provide emotional and social rehabilitation for former child soldiers

- to equip young people with the necessary life skills in order to help them grow into self sufficient and responsible adults.

 

War Child UK is currently working on projects in Uganda, Iraq,  Afghanistan and The Democratic Republic of Congo. The international leg of the charity is also working on projects in Sierra Leone and has run projects in Liberia.
