Lauren was tragically killed in an accident a few days before her 24th birthday. During her time as a medical student she donated to Shelter despite it occasionally causing her to go overdrawn.  When  pointed out to her by her father that she was not well off enough to donate, her reply was Shelter gave to people who had less than her.

Lauren would be pleased to know that she is still working for a cause close to her heart.
