The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, we're doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

In August 1994 my mum, Rebecca, was diagnosed with skin cancer (a malignant melanoma). The cancer was a relatively rare and aggressive strain and despite treatment, just 16 weeks later she died aged 27.

I was only 2 when my mum died, so it wasnt until years later that i started to fully understand what had happened and the effect it had on my family.

To mark the 20th anniversary of her death and to ensure that it was not in vain, myself and my Uncle Mark, are hoping to raise money in her memory to support those with and to help find a cure for cancer.
