“We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things. Not because they are easy, but because they are hard.” - John F. Kennedy
Obviously by “other things” Kennedy refers directly to having a month off the pop and by “decade” he means by February 2013 and so, with this in mind I, Simon Jason Toft, do solemnly and nervously vow that not a drop shall pass my lips during January not because it is easy but because it is hard...
All through January I’m not going to touch alcohol. Not a drop. Not even a little snifter. Not even for medicinal reasons after baffoons have riled me at work. Not even if Holland tries to trick me.
So instead of buying me a drink, I’d love it if you could donate. Every pound helps Cancer Research UK bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. I’ll be donating my drinking money and if I happen to slip off the wagon, I’ll chuck in an extra £15 to make up for it.
Cheers! Or not as the case may be!
