Myself and Marcel Bachmann will tackle the grueling Absa Cape Epic, and try and raise some money for Harrisons Fund as part of the event. The ABSA Cape Epic is regarded as one of the top ranked mountain bike stage races in the world. A demanding eight day mountain bike adventure of 739km with 16 000m of climbing of some of the most beautiful and challenging terrain in the Western Cape of South Africa.
Donors can commit to donate an amount per completed kilometer or per completed meter of elevation gain, or just a donation of any kind. Please support us all the way and make a difference.
We wish to raise funds and awareness to help Harrisons Fund continue their campaign so that they are able to assist in the research to find a cure for DMD, and help all the children and their families around the world who are part of the DMD Family.
Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a genetic disorder characterized by progressive muscle degeneration and weakness. It is one of nine types of muscular dystrophy. DMD is caused by an absence of dystrophin, a protein that helps keep muscle cells intact. The result is that most of these sufferers will never get to experience what we can on a daily basis.
This is my way of trying to 'Make a difference'.
Please support us and those taking part by donating funds to this worthy cause and 'make a diference' yourself!
