If you're here reading this you'll quite likely be aware that around this time of the year I normally start planning for the South Wales bike ride.

However, a date change means I'll not be in the country for it this year so I started looking for something else......... I found this..... The Carten 100, a "simple" bike ride from Cardiff to Tenby on Saturday, May 9th.

So, there we have it, I've signed up, booked time off work and the training begins.

In the spirit of these things I'm doing this ride in memory of my wonderful and very much missed mother in law who fell asleep in June 2009. I wouldn't be even a little surprised to find that wherever they are Bron and Mum have teamed up and are running the joint by now.

Please, if you can sponsor me on this one it'd be greatly appreciated, another very worthwhile cause and further than I've ever ridden..... Stella! get the nappy cream ready for my return on the 9th :-/
