Apologies for asking for money again but it's for a great cause and you get the satisfaction of knowing how much I'm going to suffer.

Normal people would do this in the middle of the summer, when the weather has a chance of being warm and the winds gentle and comfortable. So we're doing it at the end of September when it will probably pour with rain and blow a hurricane!

We start off with an overnight ferry crossing to St Malo, arriving very early, and then have to get straight on the bikes for a first days ride of 120 miles! We then have three more days before we crawl our way into Lille.
