In November 2017 I am traveling to South Africa with Oracle colleagues to support the charity Mellon Educate on a week long "Building Blitz". I will be helping to build class rooms and other school facilities in Khayelitsha Township near Cape Town, one of the poorest and largest Townships in Africa.

Each year Mellon Educate take a working party to Africa,  to build schools and facilities in the poorest parts of Africa.  These projects provide children and their teachers with education facilities, often for the first time in their lives.  This year I am proud to join the Mellon Educate team and to use my "DIY skills" to assist the best I can!
