The Colour Run · 7 June 2015

The ECCDS supports the educational and social development of children with Down syndrome from 0 – 18 years. It offers positive advice and support for children and their parents and also professionals. These sessions are run in Darlington, but children from all across the North East attend.

Story

The Durham Divas are taking part in the London Colour Run on the 7th June in aid of The Education Centre for Children with Down Syndrome.

ECCDS is a charity based in the North East of England who run regular classes and other education activities specifically designed for children with Down Syndrome. The Diva's have been raising money for ECCDS for nearly a year now because we feel it's a fantastic cause to help.

As we have absolutely loved everything we have done so far for ECCDS, this summer term members of our squad will be 'celebrating' the end of our exams by taking part in The Colour Run, described as 'the happiest 5K', at London's Wembley Park. The Colour Run seems like a regular 5K when you look at the start line, with runners all dressed in white. However once the race begins, volunteers throw colourful paint all over the participants as they pass by so once we cross the finish line we expect to be covered head to toe!

We would really appreciate any support you can give us as any donation, big or small will make a huge difference to the children at ECCDS :)
