Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

In November 2011 Oliver was diagnosed with a rare form of Rhabdomyosarcoma cancer which started on his prostate. In January 2012 Callum was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma which is a type of cancer that started in his tummy. Both our boys have been so very poorly and with the fact that the cancer had spread to other locations our hopes for the future looked very dark. But, our 2 little soldiers have been amazing and although they have been through so much they are both starting to turn a corner and making great progress. The staff on the ward, where they have spent so much time have been amazing, they really do give so much. The ward however desperately needs refurbishing and in total they need to raise £200,000 to get it to be a nicer place for the kids and their familes to be. For example, they would like to create a dining area for the kids and familes so some sort of normality can be maintained at eating times, currently they eat in bed! Also, they would like to try and make it better by creating sections for the young ones and the teenagers, this involves moving walls at a costly price of £5000!!! We have set this page up as many of our friends and family have asked if there is anything they can do, well, here is a way. The ward have done so well at fundraising but still have another £75,000 to raise. Even the smallest donation of £1.00 will help.

Thank you so much :)
