Story
EFC recently published a comprehensive report into the current state of education about abortion in the UK. You can view it here.
The report finds that a number of schools are providing education on abortion which is inaccurate and stigmatising. Young people are being shown graphic anti-abortion films and given presentations which contain misinformation about contraception and abortion (as reported in The Guardian).
This report not only details this poor quality practice, it also gives educators and professionals working with young people practical information and recommendations for providing sensitive, evidence-based lessons on the topic of abortion.
We would like to send an overview of this report to every secondary school in England. This will cost £2000, of which we have already raised £1500. So, if you support the provision of evidence-based, impartial information in schools please make a small donation to ensure that more teachers across the country are provided this information.
(Any funds raised above the £500 target will go towards our education work)
