The London 10K · 14 July 2013 ·

1 in 100 people have coeliac disease, yet only 36% are diagnosed. Coeliac UK empowers everyone affected, breaking down barriers, improving everyday life, offering trusted support and advancing research towards a cure. And we do it all so that one day, no one’s life will be limited by gluten.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Coeliac disease is an auto immune disease and sufferers are intolerant to gluten. When I was diagnosed in 1998 there was very little public awareness and very little palatable gluten free food available. I couldn't believe I was never going to eat a pizza again or drink another beer! Research has come a long way since then thanks to the efforts of Coeliac UK and the most exciting breakthrough for me has been the recent introduction of a gluten free menu to Pizza Express!! I am running the London 10K for fun and at the same time hope to raise some money for charity.

All donations welcome.
