Story

Thank you to everyone who has made donations and helped hold events to raise money - I have now reached my target of £1000!

This means I am now allowed to crowdfund for the cost of my flights and medical vaccinations, if you would like to donate towards this please visit my other fundraising page:

I am an architecture student taking part in Project Myemyela, "Project Smile", working as a team of 37 to raise a total sum of £37000.  This money will fund the materials and equipment of a brand new pre-school nursery building in a rural village in the Limpopo region of South Africa.  The project involves helping design a potential scheme of the building and then in Easter we will be going to South Africa to actually build it ourselves!

Any donations made will be greatly appreciated, and will make such a huge difference to the lives of these children.
This will be a unique experience for me, both the fundraising, building and travelling to South Africa will challenge me greatly on a personal level.

The project has been very successful in previous years, where the outcome is both beautifully designed and made, whilst also providing an extremely valuable resource for a village in need of the facilities. Currently the village has an existing pre-school nursery, however it is a tiny single roomed building, squeezing in over 50 children ranging from the ages of 3 months to 5 years.
