Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We are the Cardiff Eagles and the Cardiff Bay Lightning ice hockey teams and we are organising a charity match in aid of CLIC Sargent.
Neither teams have met on the ice before so this is truely a great event to witness. We will be playing at the Cardiff Bay Arena on Saturday 13th August facing off at 6:30pm.

There will be face painting for the children, followed by a period break entertainment from the Cardiff National School of Skating and they are skating to "Happy Feet". The performance is 3 + 1/2 minutes long and the coaches are Tracey Keeble, Ceriann Morgan and Julie Keeble.

Along with guest apperances during the match from some select Elite League players including Jason Stone and Phil Hill. Have we mentioned that Stevie Lyle (in his testimonal season) will also be icing? We didn't? Did we also mention that he will not be wearing goalie kit? We didn't? Well he won't!

And what's worse is that that these PRO players are not allowed to score goals either! The (Elite League) refs have been issued with *VERY* clear instructions ... 2 mins for show-boating ... 2 mins for not passing to a player that caused an "offside" ... 2+1/2mins for shooting on net and accidentally scoring resulting in a -1 score penalty. You see where this is going?!

Yes folks this might be the only chance you ever witness an ice hockey game where the winner has - points and still wins :D (Just like QI but on ice)

We are also proud to present to you all the second Ice dance troupe from Cardiff's Sunday Skating Club, skating to Sister Act and this is also 3 + 1/2 minutes long and the coaches are Tracey Keeble, Lucia Busiello and Stella Stokes.

Many thanks go in adavance to everyone involved in this great cause and we sincerly trust that you all enjoy the show; no matter who you are, or where you're from :D

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Send a text to 70070 along with the code CECL99 £*
And the important part is whether you substitute the * for a 1 or for a 10 or for a 100 ... all the 1's add up for these children.
