Story

<p>Hey thanks for taking the time to visit our page.</p> <p><span style="border-collapse: collapse; color: #333333; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;"> </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">As you may be aware, thanks to Will and Kate, there is the opportunity for extended &lsquo;holiday&rsquo; this coming Easter. We have decided to make the most of this, and go adventuring.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">For this, a team of eight, are cycling from John O&rsquo;Groats to Lands End, a (not so) casual 907 mile jaunt through the British countryside.&nbsp;<em><span style="font-style: italic;">Most people</span></em>&nbsp;do the route the other way round, but it was deemed that due to the UK&rsquo;s prevailing south-westerly winds from astern this would be too easy and we&rsquo;d prefer to take the breeze head on.&nbsp;<em><span style="font-style: italic;">Most people</span></em>&nbsp;also complete the trip in around 14 days, again this was seen as too laid-back, so we&rsquo;re going to do it in nearly half the time. To make it just a little bit harder we are doing it unsupported that means carrying all our food kit and water all the way from the top to the bottom. This means an agonising 114miles, or an anticipated 10 hours, a day in the saddle for just over a week, aiming to arrive sore but jubilant at the tip of Cornwall on April 29th.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Now this isn&rsquo;t a plea, nor a request, nor a sob story, but we have chosen to support Cancer Research, a well know charity.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0px;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">If anyone would like to give us some motivation whilst we punish our posteriors, donations of any magnitude will be greatly received.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><br /></span></span></p> <p><span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong>The Team</strong></span></p> <p>Richard Robinson (domestique)</p> <p>Jo Hunter Smart (climber)</p> <p>Tom Taylor Mathews (domestique)</p> <p>Olie Hunter Smart (climber)</p> <p>Charlotte Hill (team Leader)</p> <p>Ben Talbot (domestique)</p> <p>Pete Whitwam (all rounder)</p> <p>Simon Smith (sprinter)</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong>The Route</strong></span></p> <p>Day 1)We <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">start </span></strong>on Friday 22nd of April from John O'Groats to&nbsp;Balintraid 96miles</p> <p>Day 2) Saturday 23rd April <span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong>Balintraid to&nbsp;Inchree</strong></span> <strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">99miles</span></strong></p> <p>Day 3) Sunday 24th April<strong><span style="color: #ff0000;"> Inchree to&nbsp;Kilmarnock</span> <span style="color: #0000ff;">116miles</span></strong></p> <p>Day 4) Monday 25th April <strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">Kilmarnock to&nbsp;Kendal</span> <span style="color: #0000ff;">141miles</span></strong></p> <p>Day 5) Tuesday 26th April <strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">Kendal to&nbsp;Shrewsbury</span> <span style="color: #0000ff;">125miles</span></strong></p> <p>Day 6) Wednesday 27th April <strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">Shrewsbury to Bristol</span> <span style="color: #0000ff;">130miles</span></strong></p> <p>Day 7) Thursday 28th April <strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">Bristol to Bude</span> <span style="color: #0000ff;">113miles</span></strong></p> <p>Day 8) Friday 29th April <strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">Bude to Lands End</span> <span style="color: #0000ff;">87miles</span></strong></p> <p><strong>Total 907 miles</strong></p> <p>(and we would love your support anywhere along the way)</p>
