Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Following my retirement and to try and keep myself in reasonable shape!! I am planning to cycle from Lands End to John O'Groats ( a distance of approximately 1000 miles) starting in early September. Some may say that at my age, 64 in December, it is far too late to be attempting this sort of thing but I am determined to give it my best shot. I have even invested in a new bike!!

As part of the project I am hoping to raise funds for the Rosemere Cancer Foundation, a charity that raises money for research, patient welfare projects, equipment and training to ensure the very best care possible for cancer patients in Lancashire and South Cumbria. Cancer charities are particularly close to my heart, my mother having died of the disease when only in her mid-thirties.

I have chosen Rosemere as they are local and so that I can be sure that all funds raised will be used to benefit sufferers in Lancashire and South Cumbria.

I do hope that you will feel able to support my efforts by way of sponsorship. Very many thanks in anticipation of your support.
