We are transforming lives with solar lights to help both people and the planet.

Story

Hello! My name is Matt Jones and on July 26th 2010, I'm setting off on a 1300 mile trek from John O'Groats to Lands End (from the top of Scotland to the bottom of England). The aim is to finish within 2.5 months, with minimal reliance on the national grid (instead, using solar power).

I have decided to use this challenge to raise money for Solar Aid, a fantastic UK-based charity. Solar Aid is a charity looking to help combat potentially the two main issues facing humanity: Global Poverty and Global Climate Change, simply by providing clean renewable power to the poorest people in the world. I'd be so incredibly grateful if you could donate anything towards supporting my effort.

Lastly, please do follow all of my news (through the training, planning and actual trekking) on my twitter page! www.twitter.com/EcoTrek2010

Thank you so much for all your support, and please check out www.solar-aid.org or the Solar Aid or the End-to-End Eco Trek 2010 facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/pages/End-to-End-Eco-Trek-2010/334442238331?ref=ts) for more information!
