With our sporting careers rapidly drawing to a close due to the onset of old age, Will and I have decided to take on our first (and almost definitely last) Ironman distance triathlon.

The ironman is a hideously long event with a 3.8km swim to warm up.. a brisk 180km on the bike before heading off for a marathon to round off the day.

Will and I have really invested a lot in this race (and have subjected our partners to far too many training camp "holidays").  So if you could dig deep to sponsor Afghanaid, we would be very grateful.

Will and I have fund raised over the last four years for Afghanaid to support the charities' great work in Afghanistan.
