Dear Friends
Along with some Thales colleagues and friends I will be cycling the 365km from Aberporth, where we conduct flight trials, to Weybridge, our UK HQ. Our target is to complete the journey in 3 days, through the hills of Wales (I'm not really built for hill climbs), through the west country (I like cider) and through the North Downs to Weybridge.
Why am I doing this, because in the UK
- Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men.
- Over 47,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year – that's 130 men every day.
- Every hour one man dies from prostate cancer – that's more than 10,800 men every year.
- 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime.
- Over 330,000 men are living with and after prostate cancer.
