****May Update**

I met Ediz at the Arsenal vs Man Utd game a few weeks ago and it was good to see that he was still in good spirit. He is undoubtedly a remarkable young man for continuing to remain positive despite the NHS confirming that they have ceased administration of mechanical anti-cancer drugs.

Ediz is on a major mission to find other more natural cures and he is exploring all possible angles. He will not give up in his fight against Cancer. Last week he set off to Switzerland after identifying a special private clinic called Clinica Santa Croce in Locarno.  Ediz's family is having to meet all the costs of these trips and treatment and I am calling on the kind people who have already shown generosity to consider making a donation again to his cause.

Ediz does all his own research and already this year he has been to Germany [the Wurzburg hospital] a specialist in Italy and now he is in Locarno at the Santa Croce clinic.

Thank you for your continued support -we know times are hard so any contribution would be warmly received. I have set a new target of £5,000 - just for clarification we have already raised some £16K to help Ediz and his family.

Fevzi

***February Update***

Ediz is still in positive spirits despite his planned treatment in German not going as planned. The anti-bodies treatment did not go as planned due to a complication with his T-cells and he is currently on ant-C treatment here in the UK.

I am going to ask people to again make a very kind contribution as Ediz and his family need all the support they can get. I understand that due to his circumstances his mother has not been able to return to work and this situation is into its 5th month.

The Teens United charity has been providing invaluable support to Ediz too and he appreciates all the messages of support.

Thank you - Fevzi

**Christmas Eve Update**

Donations are still being accepted. Many thanks to all of the staff at the Enfield branch of Marks & Spencer for the brilliant sum of money collected for Ediz. This has been included in the offline sum.

On a hugely positive note Ediz joined me on the DriveTime radio show on London Turkish Radio last Tuesday live from his base in Germany. The antibodies treatment seems to be working better than expected so all the signs at the early juncture are very encouraging.

****Update****

Please note that it is still possible to make donations to this site to help Ediz. If you are a UK tax payer you will get the benefit of having up to 28% gift aid added to your donation so every penny counts!

***7 December 2010*** Update

We have received word from Eniz's mother that he has begun Chemo and Steriod treatment as a precursor to his Antibodies treatment beginning, which all being well should have been today. The antibodies will be administered by a pump which will be attached to his body 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We will keep you posted on progress. Eniz is in good spirits, which is great news.

Thanks to Ilker, Saban and Mustafa Gulu who plugged the appeal strongly on London Turkish Radio last night.

29 November 2010 ****STOP PRESS**

The incredible generosity of friends and people who have not even met Ediz has seen us storm to the £10,000 mark inside a week of fund-raising. Ediz and his mum will be over in Germany for an incredible 6 month period. They leave on the 1st December 2010. We have increased the appeal to £15,000 to ensure that all aspects of their trip are taken care as best as possible.

*********************************************************************

After reading about the plight of Ediz Seymen you will have heard how incredibly brave this young man is. He has successfully battled cancer twice since the age of 15 - now he is 18.

He has recently had the devastating news that he has relapsed again although the cancer this time is more aggressive than ever. He has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.

He has received fantastic support from the 'Teens Unite Fighting Cancer' charity and this appeal has been organised using their good name. A specialist cancer treatment unit has been identified in Wurzburg, Germany and Eniz is due to go there for some intensive treatment. They have high hopes that he will respond positively to the treatment and beat the cancer again. The cost of the treatment is being met by the hospital but Edz and his mother will need to stay in Germany for 6 months, which is the duration of the treatment. At this moment in time they have no where to stay so they will need to fund their own accommodation for this period.

We can help to make a difference with this appeal. Ediz is an extraordinary young man who deserves all our support. Please give as generously as possible to help to give Ediz the gift of life. Ediz and all those close to him would like to thank you for reading this and for any support you provide.

Thank you, Fevzi Hussein

***STOP PRESS***

Ediz is off to Germany on the 29th November 2010 to begin his new treatment. His plight will continue for 6 months at least. Ediz is overwhelmed with the support shown to him and he is going into this challenge in really great spirit thanks to all the support you wonderful people have given him.
