With my friends and colleagues across the Rigby Group we are heading to the Lake District on the 25th of April to bike 36km, camp for the night and then hike 30km to support the charity Place 2 Be.

Place 2 Be is a unique children’s mental health charity.

It supports 300 primary and secondary schools across the UK, together with training mental health counsellors. During 2018 they have supported 45,000 children dealing with many complex issues related to, bullying, self-harm, poverty & deprivation, emotional and physical abuse and they have supported children living in challenging home situations, who may be caring for parents or dealing with alcohol and drug abuse.

It’s a charity supported by the kind generosity of the Duchess of Cambridge and one where Steve Rigby is a non-executive director and chairman of their development board.

We aim to raise £50,000 for the charity over this trip
