In memory of Edward Lowe

The Woodland Trust is the UK's leading woodland conservation charity who creates, protects and cares for woodland across the UK. We are working hard to create a UK rich in native woods and trees, for people and wildlife. But we can't do this alone. We can't achieve our vision without you.

Story

Ed died on Saturday 11th May 2013 as a result of a tragic accident in the French Alps.

We set this page up after Ed's death for donations in his memory as Ed was passionate about the environment and sustainable energy, involved in many projects supporting this worthy cause and Woodland Trust was one of the charities that he donated to each month.

To date you have helped us raise over £5,000 and there is now a wonderful oak bench at Duncliffe Wood near Shaftesbury, dedicated to Ed, the last of only six available in the 220 acres of this ancient woodland that is mentioned in the Doomsday Book (belongs to Woodland Trust).

We would like to thank everyone who has donated to the woodland trust and made this possible. We are now hoping to raise some more funds for the woodland trust to protect another woodland area in Ed's name.

He will be loved and remembered by his family and friends.
