A dozen intrepid Eduserv volunteers will be walking 17.5 miles on the Bath Beat in aid of a local charity The Genesis Trust. The trust helps people in Bath who are socially vulnerable - the homeless, the low-paid, the long-term unemployed, people struggling with addictions and those with enduring mental health problems.

They aim to help the people they work with move towards greater independence, improved quality of life and integration into the community through local projects, such as furniture restoration and woodworking. More details of their work can be found on their website at http://www.genesistrust.org.uk/

The Bath Beat was started in 1999 by a local walking group, and this year there will be over 500 people walking and running the route! There is rain forecast for that weekend, so please donate what you can to help us reach our target, support a very worthy cause and make the drenching (and blisters) we'll no doubt receive worthwhile. :)
