On 18th June I am undertaking a truly death defying feat of super-human endurance, the likes of which has (probably) never before been done (by me at least, given I have barely broken into a run for about the last 10 years...):
An unusual triathlon which takes advantage of all the difficulties that North Wales can throw at you:
1km swim in the freezing Irish Sea (anyone who has ever seen me swim will appreciate quite how terrifying a prospect this is....)
55km cycle across hilly Anglesey and into the Snowdonian Mountain Range
and a 7km run up Mount Snowdon.
Please sponsor me for all you can... the money raised will go to two excellent causes which both help young people in very different, but most excellent ways:
Ty Gobaith Hope House (hopehouse.org.uk) is currently caring for more than 320 terminally ill children and their families in North Wales.
The Frank Haines Memorial Trust (frankhaines.com) provides a critical means of support, education and opportunity for young people in Tower Hamlets, who otherwise have precious few prospects in life.
The charities are both extremely deserving of all the help they can get, and all of your donations will be split equally between the two.
Please sponsor me... your generosity is MUCH appreciated
Thanks a million!
