Story
Hi all!
Very sadly one of my best mate's mum has been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.
You may have heard of the disease as the one that the late, great Professor Stephen Hawking suffered with.
You may also be aware of the ALS (alternative name for MND) Ice Bucket Challenge which went viral in the summer of 2014.
This was sparked by a former American Football star, Steve Gleason, who documents his journey with the disease in a highly inspirational and moving documentary film, Gleason (well worth a watch).
Hawking lived with the disease for 51 years and Gleason has been living with it for the last 7; both were given 2 years to live. So as you can see, there is still a huge amount to be learned and understood about MND.
Despite being given this devastating news, Toby has remained upbeat and positive. He is doing what he does best and organising for all his friends and family to come together to raise awareness for the disease and as much money as possible for the Motor Neuron Disease Association.
With that in mind, me and 29 others will be running a 10 mile Tough Mudder obstacle course on Saturday 5th May and I would be hugely grateful for any support you can provide.
If you want to come along and support in person, then please do:
Culden Faw

Henley-on-Thames , RG9 3AS

Start time: 10am
If you can't be there in person then if you can donate whatever you can by clicking on the links on this page, then it would be hugely appreciated.
MNDA improves care and support for people with MND, their families and carers.
They fund and promote research that leads to new understanding and treatments, and brings us closer to a cure for MND.
They campaign and raise awareness so the needs of people with MND and everyone who cares for them are recognised and addressed by wider society.
Please donate whatever you can to help make the day worthwhile!
All the best,
Ed
