I am a disabled runner and have been graded as T38 by United Kingdom Athletics as I have hemiplegia down my right side and I am partially sighted and suffer from epilepsy. This is not my first Marathon in fact I have done the London twice before. I did the first marathon of the new millennium at Leyland in 2000, I have done Nottingham, Blackpool, Snowdon and New York.

I am running for Yorkshire Air Ambulance, nobody knows when they may need their services. The Yorkshire Air Ambulance is a charity that provides rapid response emergency service to people across Yorkshire. They fly everyday of the year covering not only cities and motorways, but also rural and isolated locations. To keep providing this life saving service the charity needs to raise £7200 per day to keep both of Yorkshire’s Air Ambulances maintained and in the air. The generosity that they receive is the life blood of the charity and with out this generosity, they would not be able to provide the service that they are so proud of.
