My story

CHICKS  (www.chicks.org.uk)  provides free respite breaks for disadvantaged children from across the UK who would not otherwise have a break. The children CHICKS support come from a variety of backgrounds - those living in poverty, children that are being neglected or abused, either mentally, physically or sexually, children who have lost parents or even children who are full time young carers.

Back in 2010 I volunteered to help on one of the camps and saw first hand the amazing work the charity does and the huge amount the children get out of the experience.  CHICKS receives no government funding so is totally reliant on donations, making your support vital.

CHICKS hopes that through the provision of the respite break, children who often feel excluded will feel included.  For the first time they might feel special and cared for which can boost the children's confidence and self esteem and be a starting point for a more positive future.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.  Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.  Once you dontate; they'll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.  So it is the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Please dig deep and dontate now!
