Story

On 27th March The Walking With The Wounded team of 5 wounded servicemen depart for Nepal. Their aim - to climb to the top of the world's highest mountain, the awe inspiring Mt Everest. They are likely to reach Base Camp on 12th April, and then thereafter will start 'spiking', acclimatising on the mountain, gradullay ascending higher and higher until they are prepared to make their attempt at the Summit. Weather permitting, we expect this to happen between 10th - 25th May 2012.

In order for supporters and friends of Walking With The Wounded to help this team of brave young men ascend this massive mountain, we are challenging them to 'climb' the mountain too, with our team. Our aim, to raise £8,848 by the time they reach their target of 8,848m, at the roof of the world.

Every pound raised represents one metre climbed, and every pound will also go towards re-educating and re-training our wounded after they leave the Armed Forces. These boys are doing an extraordinary feat to raise awareness. Show them it is worth their efforts.
