Fundraising for The Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD)
I am one of 23,000 runners taking part in the Bupa Great South Run on October 24th 2010. With your help, I will be raising money for CAFOD which works in more than 60 countries worldwide, tackling poverty and injustice. CAFOD works with people of all faiths and none, regardless of race, gender, or politics.
A lung busting 10 miles in a lime green CAFOD running vest that, frankly, does nothing to enhance my pale complexion are small prices to pay in the knowledge that this excellent charity will be getting your cash to further its work. Thank you.
An added incentive Crécy, Agincourt, Waterloo,Trafalgar...Southsea. The Bupa Great South Run will have a special theme to it as England take on France over the ten mile (16.09 km) distance. The Brittany Ferries Trophy will be awarded to the nation whose runners have the fastest average finishing time of all those completing the course. Your support will go towards helping ensure some of the world's most disadvantaged people, The French, come second once again.* Charities pay a small fee for our service. Find out how much it is and what we do for it.
