Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm taking on the 100km London to Brighton challenge for a great charity, Macmillan cancer support.
There is around 300,000 people diagnosed with cancer every year, with two million people living with the illnes just in the UK alone. You would be surprised with how much work and support they give to improve peoples lives when living with cancer, from nurses helping people through treatment, to experts on the phone to help through the toughest of times.
With just £25 it can pay for someone to get help from Macmillan support line, that means free information and emotional support for people living with cancer. And £400 can cover an equipment grant for a Macmillan professional. This could buy specialist kit such as a speech aid, to make a world of difference to someone affected by cancer.
Macmillan cacer support count's on the supporters to fund 99% of there services. More than one in three of us will get cancer at some stage in our live's, it really does affect us all at some stage.
I would like to say a big thank for sponsoring me on this event, and that your money is going to a great cause
THANKS
