If you’ve come across this page, then it’s quite likely that you know me and if you know me you will know why I am so passionate about this charity.

For those of you that don’t I will briefly tell you – my grandfather died of lung cancer just over a year ago, this was the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with. I feel like I want to help people whom have been in my position or my grandfather’s position in any way possible, the best way in my opinion being through The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation

Ever since my grandfather – Lodge passed away I have been trying to raise money for this charity; it is the only charity in the country wholly dedicated to fighting lung cancer. Research, Prevention and Support each one as important as each other, if by doing this marathon I can help any or all of these things the charity aim to do it will all be worth it.

I have really tried to up the stakes this time and do something that will not be easy. I have increased the amount I want to raise substantially and I would be really, really grateful if you could dig deep and no matter the amount, support this wonderful cause.

With this in mind I will be running the London marathon on the 23rd April 2013, I wanted to feel a sense of achievement and for people to feel like I really was putting myself out to raise this money...

After having raised over £6,000 for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation last year my passion to raise money for this charity has grown stronger and stronger.

So please dig deep and thank you from the bottom of my heart.
