Haller works with nature to regenerate ecosystems and build thriving communities. In Kenya we equip subsistence farmers living on dry, eroded land with the knowledge to harvest water, rehabilitate the soil and farm sustainably so they can become self-sufficient and generate a livelihood.

Story

Hello All,

I will be taking part in another cycling adventure when I take part in the South Cape Cycle Challenge in South Africa from 17th - 27th October 2009. I will be travelling over 400km along The Garden Route to reach the most southerly point in Africa at Cape Agulhas, and then the most south-westerly point at The Cape of Good Hope. I will ride through indigenous forest, farmland, high mountains and deserted white beaches.

I am doing this in order to raise money for the charity Haller (http://www.thehallerfoundation.com), and more specifically for The Lime Green Lace Appeal (www.limegreenlaceappeal.org). The money will go directly into a rural Kenyan village where it will help build a community for people for miles around.

If you wish to sponsor me, I would be grateful.

Many thanks and best wishes,

Edward Oatley.
