Story

Now don't be too surprised!  There are times in our lives when each of us has to dig deep.  In my case its the13-odd miles of the Bath Half Marathon taking place on 7th March 2010 - about 12 miles more than I'm used to running -  and in your case it's those deep and laden pockets that need to be plundered for the Robin Hood Ministries, a charity that is bravely tackling poverty and its awareness in the UK.  All of you have been hand-picked for your big hearts and plump wallets.  So stand and deliver, your money for a life!

I've set up a JustGiving page because donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Seriously now, all donations are immensely welcome and knowing you are all behind me will certainly help during what I expect will be painful Winter training.

I'll also be posting some photos shortly.  Watch this space.

Many thanks!!

About the charity

We are an independent charity, part of a global community of like-minded people and organisations that share a passion to alleviate poverty and suffering around the world. We deliver help on the ground through local partnerships, networks and individuals, working with people and projects that inspire us, that have a gifting for their work and a clear vision for what they wish to achieve. We help change lives by meeting basic needs: food, housing, education, shelter and helping people achieve legitimacy and legal status. Our projects are designed to empower greater self-sufficiency, new hope and a more sustainable future – a handshake, not a hand out.
