Environmentally conscious employees from Goodyear are to pit their driving skills against the country’s motoring experts to prove they’ve got the best grip on efficiency - and they need your help!
Self confessed ‘eco friendly’ employees from the Birmingham company are competing in the EfficientGrip Challenge– an event which asks 8 driving teams to extract the maximum mileage from a limited amount of petrol in order to promote the advantages of economical driving.
All competing drivers will be given identical cars, fuelled to the same level so that their efficiency can be measured at the end of the day. Cars will also be fitted with EfficientGrip – the company’s latest tyre with ‘fuel saving technology’, which due to excellent rolling resistance can have a significant effect on fuel consumption. It’ll be no easy task so please give generously!
The EfficientGrip Challenge is just one of many events which the company will be hosting in order to raise money for this worthy cause. Over the coming months, Goodyear is hoping to raise £30,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust to help build a new unit at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. The money will contribute to a bedroom to help patients be teenagers first and cancer patients second.
By visiting this page, you also stand a chance at winning a set of Goodyear’s new EfficientGrip tyres for your own car, simply email efficientgrip@htpr.co.uk with how many miles you think the team will cover during the 3 hour challenge, as well as your car’s tyre size.
