Our work is delivered by young people, for young people, giving them the skills and resources to lead change.

Story

This Christmas we are raising money for the charity Restless Development who work with young people to combat poverty in Sierra Leone where 70% of the population live below the poverty line. I will be heading out there next year to run a programme which works with young people to overcome problems associated with sexual and reproductive health, livelihoods and political rights.

We will be putting on our favourite christmas costumes (suggestions welcome!) to run the JogScotland Christmas Cracker 5k at Strathclyde Country Park on the 9th of December.

Although 5K doesn't seem like a lot this is a huge personal challenge as many of you know I have spent some of 2012 on crutches after a bit of knee surgery. I started training as soon as I could 6 months post op so have only had a month to get ready for this...I'm hoping fairy wings will make a difference if all else fails.

I have some cracking little christmas helpers running alongside me in equally ridiculous costumes so please help make a difference this Christmas and spare a few pennies for this fantastic cause :)

You can donate securely online through justgiving, in person or by text. All you have to do to text in a donation is choose any amount you would like to donate and txt the code EMAC88 with the amount to 70070. For example for 5 pounds text "EMAC88 £5" to 70070.

Thank you so much!
