Elaine's London Marathon 2019 fundraising page

London Marathon 2019 · 28 April 2019 ·
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.
I have always wanted to run the London Marathon and this year I entered the ballot at work (TNT) and I was lucky enough to be given this opportunity.
I am a complete novice and therefore I hope to just complete the London Marathon. My training started in October and I managed to get to 5k, then I had an ankle injury putting me out of training for 6-8 weeks. I am now trying to get back on track.
I will be raising money for the Wooden Spoon, which is such a worthwhile charity that is dedicated to help children with disabilities or underprivileged children.
I would be so grateful if you were able to support my fundraising.
Thank you x
Wooden Spoon is the children’s charity of rugby, funding life-changing projects across the UK and Ireland to support children and young people with disabilities or facing disadvantage. Research shows that 1 in 10 children in the UK and Ireland have a disability and there are 3.5 million children in the UK living in poverty. These numbers continue to rise and more and more children need our help. Our vision is that through the power of rugby, every child and young person has access to the same opportunities.
