One25 is run by women for women who are street-based sexworkers, those who are in the process of exiting such work, and those who have now exited. Based in Bristol, we enable women to consider change, and help them access the services they need.

My story

We did it...... Yipeeeeeeee !, You can still donate...so go on...do it, it's such a great charity ! It was an amazing experience...such a beautiful day...the sun was shining, the crowds were great and we ran all the way. Phoenix Park was idyllic....the autumn colours were something else! Finally a marathon !...Help ! I am raising money for One 25 www.one25.org.uk

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity One 25 and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

If you want to give an idea of what donations might achieve:
- Â£10 can buy an educational software package or art equipment for the women to use in the drop-in centre. Most left school without formal qualifications so these courses help build up their low self-esteem and skills set.
- Â£25 could provide an acutely ill woman with a 'hospital pack' which contains pyjamas and slippers, underwear, a set of clothes, towels, toiletries and some stationary. Often One25's caseworkers are the only visitors many ever get.
- Â£175 could fund all on-foot night outreach for 6 months. This is a vital service, especially for the younger and most traumatised, 'hard-to-reach' women, and has been called 'a lifesaver' and 'a turning point' in their lives.

“You taught me that it's the simple things that help, the normal everyday activities that most people take for granted. It's about being prepared to listen in a non-judgmental way.”
