Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Reis-Bucklers corneal dystrophy, also known as Corneal dystrophy of Bowman layer, type I, is a rare form of human corneal dystrophy in which the Bowman's layer undergoes disintegration. Corneal Dystrophy can lead to blindness.

Sound Complicated? It is! Caolan has been suffering with this genetic condition since birth. He inherited it from his father who also suffers from the condition. RBCD is rare and NOT cureable. Caolan needs lots of daily treatment, speciaist care and medical support to prevent this disease from stealing his sight!

I am fundraising to support Fight for Sights research into Reis Bucklers Corneal Dystrophy and Genetic Eye Conditions to ensure that everyone suffering form RBCD and other corneal Diseases receive the best treatment possible, as early on in diagnosis as possible.
