<p><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">On November 4 2012 Dave and I will be attempting to run all 26.2 miles of the New York marathon. In exchange for the pain we would like to raise as much money as possible for the Southern Area Hospice. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial;">Unfortunately we all know someone who has been affected by cancer or terminal illness. The Southern Area Hospice helps make the final stages in patients' lives more comfortable and dignified, and offers continuing support to their families and carers.</span><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">My father passed away in the hospice in 2008 shortly after being diagnosed with cancer and the support and care they provided to everyone involved during this period was invaluable. They rely heavily on donations to continue providing their care to terminal patients. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">We will also be running the marathon in memory of my wonderful Aunt Tish who lost her battle with cancer last summer and whose bravery inspired Dave and I immensely. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">We would really appreciate if you sponsor anything you can. We’d like to thank you so much for your support, each donation will make a tangible difference to the hospice and help drag us round the final few miles in New York (or all 26.2 of them in my case – what can I say, a runner I’m not!!). </span></p>
