Libra’s over-arching aim is to improve the quality of life for disabled and disadvantaged children overseas, while providing a wide range of UK sixth-form students with personal development in leadership, team work, planning and long-term commitment and loyalty.
This innovative and child-centred programme is currently working across Romania in residential centres for abandoned and/or disabled children, with the impoverished and often segregated Rroma communities and with underprivileged Romanian children. Following year-round training and fundraising in the UK, the students spend two weeks in July working on one of the Libra projects.
We are attempting the National Three Peaks Challenge on 16th July 2011 and all proceeds will go to this Charity. Please dig deep and sponsor me!
